Stage Play

Prufrock in the Inferno, a One-Act Play by Mary R. Tahan, Was Produced in Burbank, California.

Written by Mary R. Tahan, the one-act stage play Prufrock in the Inferno places T.S. Eliot's character Prufrock from the author's celebrated poem "The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufock" in Dante's "Inferno" — in the forest of the suicides, to be exact — where Prufrock is tormented into reliving his hell on earth by a half woman-half bird Harpy, who guides him (albeit painfully) into a new self-awareness about his actions on earth. This play was produced and performed in Burbank, California.
